For me, writing is difficult, time-consuming, and frustrating...and I love it.

Here are a few quick facts about me.

I thoroughly enjoy a good game with friends and family(board game, card game, etc).

The Boston Bruins is my favorite sports team.

As an avid movie fan, I worked at a Blockbuster when I was in college.

I am married with three children, a dog, and a cat. My family is great. Without them, life would be boring.

The endorsement on the front of the book reads, "TRUE-BLUE DEKKER, with mammoth twists and head-pounding turns..."

So that was a lie!

There are no "twists" or "turns". There is nothing head-pounding (or heart-pounding) despite the entire plot revolving

Let me start by saying I love Josiah Bancroft's style. His clever prose, sometimes straying into the territory of needing to grab a dictionary, is always interesting. I often find myself smirking at the smart word play and unique comparisons/similes/ ...more

This book was an interesting mix of the history of early photography and the origin story of Lewis Carroll.

It tended to be a bit repetitive. And it was probably my least favorite Simon Winchester book that I've read.

I'm not a big comic book/graphic novel fan, but this was entertaining. I liked the art in the first half better. It was more dynamic and detailed. The pages seemed a bit more stylistic as well.

The second half was a little slow, more a political stor
