Dejan Atanacković (Belgrade, 1969) teaches several university courses in the field of visual arts and culture in Florence and Siena. He collaborates with the Florentine Museum of Natural History on his course “Body Archives”, dedicated to the history of representation of the human body. In the past few years, he lead workshops based on a dialogue between students and psychiatric patients. In Belgrade, in collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art and Museum of Ethnography, he initiated “Another Gaze”, a project for “new narrative itineraries”, dedicated to the perception of the city by persons with physical and mental disabilities. Between 2005 and 2010 he lead a cultural exchange project called "Outside", between Florence and Belgrade in which more than 300 students, artists and art educators took part. As a visual artist, since the 1990s, he has realized many solo exhibitions and curatorial projects in Serbia, Italy, USA, Canada, Bosnia, Albania and his works were presented in many collective exhibitions worldwide. Some of Atanacković's works are part of museum collections.

Dejan Atanacković (Beograd, 1969) srpski je likovni umetnik i pisac. Od 1996. realizuje samostalne izložbe i kustoske projekte. Dobitnik je NIN-ove nagrade za 2017. godinu, za svoj prvi roman Luzitanija.

Završio je studije slikarstva na firentinskoj Akademiji lepih umetnosti (Accademia di Belle Arti) 1996. godine, a na istom fakultetu je bio i predavač od 2002. do 2005. godine. Od 2000. predaje multimedijalnu umetnost na američkom univerzitetskom programu SACI u Firenci, gde je 2014. uveo i predmet pod nazivom Body Archives posvećen izučavanju istorije predstavljanja ljudskog tela, u saradnji sa firentinskim Muzejom prirodnih nauka.

Od 2005. do 2010. vodio je program kulturne i didaktičke razmene između Beograda i Firence pod nazivom Outside, u saradnji sa Univerzitetom umetnosti u Beogradu, firentinskom Akademijom lepih umetnosti i Italijanskim Institutom za kulturu, uz podršku Sekretarijata za kulturu Grada Beograda.

Godine 2009. pokrenuo je u Beogradu projekat Drugi pogled, „inicijativu za nove narativne tokove", projekat posvećen tumačenju grada kroz vizuru „alternativnih vodiča”, pripadnika marginalizovanih grupa, u saradnji sa Muzejom savremene umetnosti.

Atanackovićeve video i audio instalacije, serije fotografija, intervencije u javnom prostoru, predstavljene su na samostalnim i kolektivnim izložbama u Srbiji, Italiji, Kanadi, SAD, Bosni i Hercegovini, Albaniji, Nemačkoj, Meksiku...

Pisao je više godina mesečne kolumne za NIN, a od januara 2024. kolumnista je Novog magazina. U periodu 2022-2023 bio je odbornik u Skupštini grada Beograda ispred koalicije Moramo.
