DON'T LET YOUR IMAGINATION RUN WILD!

I have this memory of visiting a zoo when I was a kid.

I remember standing in front of a cage where a giant giraffe stood on the other side (just like in the photo below). I remember feeling so small in its midst and suddenly it reached its head over the fence and licked, or nearly licked my head with its long black tongue.

(To this day I’m not sure if it really happened or if I imagined it) ;)

“I don’t want to be the type of beautiful princess who sits in her castle with servants waiting on her hand and foot. I want to be the type of princess who makes a difference in the kingdom, one who gets up, goes out, and serves others by being God’s hands and feet.
God has given us power and authority for a purpose—to make a difference in the kingdom. We’re to help set captives free from the evil oppression of Satan. We’re to extend our hands with the sword of the Spirit into the dark and lonely pits where prisoners are being held captive. We’re to pray and encourage them to grab hold of the sword (God’s Word and truth) and help pull them out of the darkness and into the light.”

“Arise, dear one.
You've just turned nine.
God's gifted you life.
It's time to shine!

Get out of bed.
It's time to sing.
Pull back the shade.
Let's praise the King!”

“Jesus is greater than our enemy. He can redeem, rebuild, renew, restore, and deliver us from anything the enemy takes from us.”
Mistie House, Emergence: How to Experience Beauty and New Life in Dead and Dark Places

“The enemy uses storms and seasons of hardship as opportunity to ravage and ruin us, but God uses storms and hardship as opportunity to rebuild and refine us.”
