Davy’s auspicious beginning in Taiwan was anything but commonplace. An almost stillborn baby that revived at the moment of incision, Davy entered the world as a miracle. However, when he started school the competitive education system ruled out his ability to draw as a legitimate skill. Academically, he was an under-achiever. As young boy that was consumed by the darkness of low self-esteem, Davy Liu immigrated to the U.S. when he was only thirteen.

However, his talent for drawing was discovered by a teacher that subsequently catapulted him to international fame in Hollywood.
