Hope Ferdowsian, M.D., M.P.H., grew up on a small Oklahoma farm and resolved to become a doctor at the age of nine when she first learned about human rights violations like torture. Today, her expertise spans the fields of medicine, public health, and ethics, as well as human rights and animal protection. Known to her patients as "Dr. Hope," she is a double-board certified fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Preventive Medicine. She has worked and lectured worldwide in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia, and appeared on local, national, and international radio and television programs.
