Ganess Paudel (Nepali: गनेस पौडेल) is a contemporary Nepali writer, translator, and columnist known for his crisp prose and thoughtful engagement with Nepali society. He studied English Literature at Tribhuvan University and later earned an MBA from Pokhara University. Before venturing fully into writing, Paudel taught in various schools, experiences that quietly shape the emotional depth of his work.

Paudel’s debut novel Paitala established him as a distinctive new voice in modern Nepali fiction. As a translator, he has brought global literature to Nepali readers, most notably through his Nepali translation of John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, published as Musa Manus. His next novel, Dejavu, is currently in the works.
