Audiobook narrator. Caroline is a performer, theatre-maker and writer, and has worked professionally in the arts for over twenty-five years. She has worked with many theatre companies including the Malthouse, STC, MTC, Bell Shakespeare, Back to Back Theatre, Red Stitch, Chamber Made Opera, MKA, Finucane and Smith, HeLD Productions, Hildegard, Playbox (Raw) and La Mama.

She has received four Green Room Awards for her work in the theatre.

Caroline has developed a strong reputation for her work in one-woman shows. She has played Grace Marks in the highly successful one-woman show, alias Grace by Margaret Atwood; Marguerite in La Douleur by Marguerite Duras; Lola Strong in the thee interiors of Lola Strong; Sylvia Plath in A Kind of Fabulous Hatred; Elizabeth in Waking Up Dead; a variety of Catherines in Catherine: the body politic; and six different characters in the one-woman adaptation of her novel, Stripped.

Caroline's film and television appearances include a main cast role in Bogan Pride, a small role in the feature film The Dressmaker directed by Jocelyn Moorhouse, and roles in The Elegant Gentleman's Guide to Knife Fighting, Tangle, Winners and Losers, Satisfaction, Stingers, MDA, Halifax fp, Blue Heelers, Neighbours, Holidays on the River Yarra and Dogs in Space, as well as a number of smaller film projects with independent producers including a cameo appearance in the very funny short film When The Wind Changes, written by Richard Davies and directed by Alethea Jones.

Caroline has also participated in a number of successful projects developing innovative design-orientated performance, for example, the 2016 Explorations season of Undercoat: A Parafoxical Tale, written by Cynthia Troup and directed by Alice Darling; Black at the Malthouse, a performance installation conceived and directed by Anna Tregloan about the Black Dahlia murder in Hollywood in the 1940’s; Things That Fall Over: A Triathlon for Performance by Peta Murray; and she created the roles of the Romance Librarian and the Professional Letter Writer for Finucane and Smith’s Carnival of Mysteries, which had a sell-out season in the 2010 Melbourne International Arts Festival. All of these projects involved collaborative relationships between directors, designers, writers and performers, and substantial amounts analysis and revision, processes which Caroline finds incredibly productive and rewarding.

Caroline has also completed the Professional Writing and Editing course at RMIT. Her novel, Stripped, was serialised from 2008-2010 in the renowned literary journal Meanjin. She then went on to publish a boutique, limited edition of the novel, assisted by a grant from the City of Melbourne. She has also had a number of short stories published, received first prize for a short story in the 2006 Fellowship of Australian Writers writing competition, and in 2005 won the Marion Eldridge Award for emerging woman writers.
