Stephen Rhodes was born in Kingsport, Tennessee in 1960. He attended Dobyns-Bennett High School from 1976-1979. He received a B.A. from Emory & Henry College in 1983, where he studied religion and political science. He received a M.Div. from Emory University, Candler School of Theology in 1986. He is currently an ordained elder in the Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. He currently resides in Richmond, Virginia.
