Guionista, uno de los más exitosos y recurrentes del cine chileno del nuevo siglo. De profesión odontólogo, ejerce estas funciones por las mañanas en uno de los más importantes hospitales públicos de Santiago, reservando las tardes a su pasión por la escritura de guiones. Salvo en aquellos breves períodos en que debe ausentarse del país, porque desde 1999 viaja todos los años a Cuba para atender un Taller de Estructura de Guión Cinematográfico que tiene a su cargo en la Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de Los Baños.
