Dana Lockhart is a little bit zany, a little bit all over the place, and honestly just happy to be here. She is the current president of the Hannibal Writers Guild in Hannibal, MO. She is fascinated by monsters and monster stories and exploring how they can be used to better understand what it means to be human. When writing poetry, she uses emotive language and imagery to try and evoke powerful feelings through her words.

Primarily, Dana writes urban fantasy, but also dabbles in poetry and other genres.

In the year of 1993, the mighty Mississippi River flooded its banks and spread out over 30,000 square miles. It was one of the greatest deluges in its history, second only to the great flood of 1927.
