Allison Hillier has more than two decades’ experience as a small business owner. Her first business was as a jewellery maker in B.C. Canada, then importer from Bali, Indonesia, then bar co-owner on Elba Island, Italy, then café co-owner in Berlin, Germany.

She is now a learning and development consultant and instructional designer in Toronto, Canada helping nonprofits and socially-purposed businesses put learning at the heart of organizational impact.

Allison has a long history building entrepreneurship learning and support communities. She has coached, and delivered workshops for hundreds of artists, designers, makers, performers and writers to help them navigate the world of small business.
