Nació en Calpica, pueblo de cañaverales ubicado a orillas del río Uruguay en el departamento de Artigas, al norte de Uruguay. Es letrista de murgas y canciones, radicado desde hace muchos años en Salto. Autor de Tras la niebla (1992), libro de cuentos y poesías. Participó de las antologías Cuentos de boliche (1995), Cuentos criollos (1999), Cuentos de la Cooperativa Bancaria (2007) y Cuentos de la peste (2020). En 2017 publica El zambullidor, que ha sido editada en Francia como L’enfant du fleuve por Editorial Yovana de Montpellier y en Brasil por la Editora Diadorim de Porto Alegre como O Mergulhador.
