Writer, artist, antique dealer, Chihuahua mama. My claim to fame are my dogs. Known as Writer With Dogs I started adopting dogs when I lost my husband in 2008. The same time I started writing. Dogs and writing are two powerful healing tools. Known as Writer With Dogs for many years with my six-pack, I now live with four naughty rescue Chihuahuas.

A few years ago I moved to a Hallmark style small town and love it. I'm on the board of the Monroe-Walton Center for The Arts as their Literary Arts Chair and plan writing programs, oversee our Book Nook for authors, and have monthly meetings with our Walton Writers to discuss their work.

I've recently started painting and am working on illustrations for an upcoming children's book.

Dogs In An Uproar

My dogs are behaving badly this week. I think they are reacting to how preoccupied I've been. Two events are taking place that have me either writing or scratching. I think the scratching is what has the dogs puzzled most. They are used to me sitting for hours at the computer. They are not used to seeing me wiggle about, scratch, and yelp.
