Lisa became inspired by the Paleo way of life after her husband's crippling IBS forced him to abandon his job, leaving Lisa as the main breadwinner for their family of five. Four months later, her youngest daughter, who was just 6-years-old at the time, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, after she collapsed into a diabetic coma at school one day.
