I have a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Texas State University, where I’ve taught creative writing and storytelling in video games for ten years. In addition to several science fiction stories, I've dabbled in creative nonfiction. In academics, I’ve published on the pedagogy of teaching storytelling in video games, and regularly present on using video games and popular culture in the classroom. I spent hours of my childhood haunting the gold room at Powell’s bookstore in Portland, OR, absorbing the sci-fi/fantasy masterpieces.
