Ian Benjamin Phillips, b. 25 Oct 1980, holds a B.Phil and a D.Phil in Philosophy from the University of Oxford.

He is currently Professor in Philosophy of Psychology​ in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Birmingham. Before moving to Birmingham, he was a Professor and Gabriele Taylor Fellow at St. Anne's College, Oxford.

His work primarily focuses on topics at the intersection of philosophy of mind and cognitive science. Major current projects concern temporal experience, and the nature and limits of perception and consciousness. He was awarded a Philip Leverhulme Prize in 2017. ...more
