Complicated, exhausting, thrilling, and ultimately very memorable. It's bizarre to finish the book and realize you were as sucked in to the perceived lifestyle as the main character was. I'll definitely reread this one again in the future. ...more

Substantially better than the internet's seeming reception to it. I went into this book knowing it was a coming-of-age story, not a 'solve a murder' story, and I very much enjoyed it for what it was (not what I imagined it would be). ...more
