My parents are expats living in Mexico City. My father is British. My mother is American of mixed race (Latina and Navajo). I was born in Mexico City, graduated HS, and university there. Today I claim Houston, Texas, as my home, but in truth, I spend most of my time traveling.

I write historical fiction, emphasis on "historical." My historical fiction should not be confused with period fiction, which is merely set in some particular historical period but makes no effort to be true to established historical facts. My philosophy is that reading any work of historical fiction should give you a better understanding of the historical period covered.
