In a career spanning 50 years Dr. John Wilson has been a laboratory technician, a teacher, a university lecturer and a counsellor specialising in bereavement and loss. Throughout this time he has also performed regularly as a rock drummer and percussionist. John completed his PhD in 2017 and now directs the Bereavement Service at York St John University, Counselling and Mental Health Clinic. As an honorary fellow of the university, he is currently researching the link between attachment style and grief recovery. At least two more books on bereavement and loss are in the pipeline. John lives in rural North Yorkshire with his wife Sandra and two cats, Dilly and Phoebe.
