Great read! Very entertaining take on the progression genre. I loved how the main character explored multiple systems in a world that seemed bent on rejecting him. The plot drew me in, especially in the second half of the book. |

Love this series The intrigue was pretty intense for this story. Not even because it was complicated, just because I cared for the characters. I am happy with how things turned out, however. |

Fantastic read Found the first one at the local library and had to seek the sequel out immediately. Feels like what ASOFAI should have been. |

“Just because you feel like you need to do something bad, son, doesn't mean you have to do it. And having that voice inside doesn’t automatically make you a bad person. In fact, it can make you the opposite, make you better, if you can train your heart and mind to resist it. Temptation is dangerous, but it's also an opportunity to grow, and change, and rise.”

“Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring twopence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it.”
