Some nice details and annecdotesabout a man about to be executed. The scene where the soldier wants to the man to come back as a ghost so that he can tell the soldier the winning lottery numbers was great. But the parts dont add up for me

I saw the show in New Britain and wasn't sure what it all was meant to be so I got the catalog. Now that i read it I am still unsure. The weirdness of the project doesn't foster comprehension in the other hand, the weirdness of the project was bold a ...more

I first saw this as a play adaptation about 20 years ago and we bought the book but I only got around to reading it this month. Man. Why did I wait? THis is a fascinating way of fusing poetry and film noit together. The writing is beautiful and cleve ...more

Concerning the Book that is the Body of the Beloved by Gregory Orr

A beautiful, if repetitive long poem about grief and acceptance through poetry and love. I really enjoyed it, but there were parts that felt like I had just read the same thing a few pages earlier. With that said, worth even rereading.

I Hated, Hated, Hated This Movie by Roger Ebert

Roger Ebert was a very good writer and a fantastic mind for film. These mean reviews are so much fun, but there are too many of them. THis would have been best shedding a third of its bulk.

This was goofy fun. I love the adventurousness of it. The piece about increasing breast size through holding heavy books was the piece that made me smile the most. The whole thing was a good little bit of nonsense.

this had more good poems than bad. or dull. and that
is always a good thing. there was one poem about casablanca that is one of the best poems I have ever read so that makes it a really worthwhile book
