Rodrigo Kmiecik nasceu em Umuarama, no Paraná. Atualmente reside em Curitiba. É contista, poeta e medievalista, graduado em História (UEL), especialista em Religiões e Religiosidades (UEL) e mestre em História (UFPR). Publicou contos e poemas em revistas, jornais, concertinas e antologias, e trabalhou no meio editorial traduzindo, escrevendo paratextos e produzindo material gráfico.

Seus interesses literários se concentram principalmente nas expressões do horror sobrenatural, do mal e da sombra encontradas nas obras de escritores como Robert Aickman, Algernon Blackwood, William Faulkner e Cornélio Penna, bem como nas expressões do fantástico e do fabular encontradas em Andersen, Kipling e Guimarães Rosa.
