Authoring a book was completely unexpected for Carl Dubler, as was his experience with a double-murder case. Carl is a highly-regarded veteran of the computer software industry, and his articles and presentations on software have reached tens of thousands of people. But the engineering requirements and mathematical algorithms of software leave little room for emotion or nebulous feelings, so writing a memoir about a horrific crime proved to be the biggest challenge Carl has ever faced.

He and his wife have raised two children in Colorado, his life-long home. He is an expert outdoorsman and has led many groups of young people through backcountry adventures in all seasons.
