Jennifer G. Blake is the author of fantastical stories featuring all-or-nothing stakes
and more than a little heartache. She grew up among the redwoods of Northern
California and now lives in North Carolina with her partner, their mini-menagerie of
animals, and the few houseplants their cats haven’t eaten yet. When not lost in
magical worlds, she can usually be found exploring nature, shifting through the racks
at a thrift store, or hunting down a good gluten free pastry.

Her debut adult fantasy novel, Midnight at the Immortalium, releases fall 2027 from Berkley/Ace Books.

“Books were a reminder that the whole world wasn't a bleak tapestry of violence, and while she might never see anything beautiful again, at least she could read about kinder things. It was easier to breathe between the pages of a book.”
Jennifer Gruenke, Of Silver and Shadow

“You're smart, Kell, but you don't think with your head. You think with your heart. And hearts are dreadfully weak things."
Yet without them, we'd all be dead, Kellen thought.”
Jennifer Gruenke, Of Silver and Shadow

“She didn’t want to leave. She wanted to be here, with Lesa, always with Lesa. She wanted to lie in her arms in a safe place that didn’t exist.

But wanting was a dangerous game”
Jennifer Gruenke, Of Silver and Shadow

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.”
Roald Dahl

“The curves of your lips rewrite history.”
Oscar Wilde

“Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering.”
Nicole Krauss, The History of Love

“Books are mirrors: you only see in them what you already have inside you.”
Carlos Ruiz Zafón, The Shadow of the Wind

“By this point Viviane Lavender had loved Jack Griffith for twelve years, which was far more than half of her life. If she thought of her love as a commodity and were to, say, eat it, it would fill 4,745 cherry pies. If she were to preserve it, she would need 23,725 glass jars and labels and a basement spanning the length of Pinnacle Lane.

If she were to drink it, she'd drown.”
Leslye Walton, The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender
