“the upper right side of the horseshoe. Steiner suggests that every seven years of life on earth is a sort of mini-epoch: one to seven, seven to fourteen, etc. We travel through five epochs to the age of thirty-five, and then we ascend through five more as we move toward seventy. Everything after seventy is gravy, apparently. The interesting thing about the second half of life, the ascent, according to Steiner, is that we are often given opportunities to complete those things we have left undone during our descent. For instance, if you are between the ages of forty-nine to fifty-six, you can look across the horseshoe at the seven-year period that corresponds to those years: the years from fourteen to twenty-one, and often you will find that you are completing some unfinished business from that time.”
