Kat Smith's writing career began in 2003 with the release of her first book Storm Surge and has since released Code Blue, In the Valley of Shadows, and The Long Journey Home.
In her philanthropic work she became a founding member of the Golden Crown Literary Society (GCLS) where she served as the GCLS Conference Director from 2005 - 2009 and as the GCLS Executive Director from 2007 - 2009.
Kat's professional career includes founding Intaglio Publications, Inc. where she served as Executive Editor from 2005 - 2007. She also founded the first exclusive lesbian e-commerce bookstore StarCrossed Productions, Inc. (SCP) where she fostered and promoted lesbian literature from global publishers from 2003 - 2009.
