Melissa Barrett is the author of Moon on Roam (Gold Wake Press, 2019). Her poems and essays have been published in BOMB, Crazyhorse, Harvard Review, jubilat, and Best American Poetry. A Pushcart Prize nominee, her writing has been recognized by the Ohio Arts Council, the Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Prizes, Tin House's Summer Workshop, Gulf Coast, and The Iowa Review. She lives in Columbus, Ohio with her family and directs a middle school.

A lovely story about health and family with a fast plot and pockets of humor. Really appreciate a story for this age group about organ transplants.

Really enjoyed this YA novel. Long book but quick read. Heavy topics. Would appreciate a bit more interiority for all the characters, but the plot was good.
