Anya Nicole was born and raised in Philadelphia. Realizing as a child that both her household and neighborhood was plagued with drugs and crime, Anya strived to break the mold and became the first person in her family to graduate from college. As an adult, Anya became driven to help the same community in which she could have easily become a product of. She currently counsels young adults at an alternative program who have dropped out of high school and are seeking a GED. Anya believes that it is her responsibility to help young people realize their full potential.

Writing has always been Anya's way of relieving the pain in which she has seen around her. As early as the age of fourteen, she has always kept a journal of poetry and short stori ...more
