Hello, I'm Hilda and I'm a potter working from my studio in Surrey, UK.

I've always been creative and at university trained as a set designer. I worked in TV, theatre and events before finding ceramics in 2014.

I work mainly on the potters wheel, creating useful and beautiful pieces that can be used every day. I have a particular interest in carving pottery and the range of results you can achieve with a wide variety of carving techniques.

I share my techniques and processes on my instagram account @hildacarrpottery and I hold workshops at my studio, teaching an 'Introduction to Throwing' course and introducing students to the satisfaction to be had from working with clay!
