Solomon Pappaiah (Tamil:சாலமன் பாப்பையா), also known as Solomon Pappiah/Salomon Pappayah, is a Tamil professor/scholar and a television icon in Tamil Nadu, India. He is best known for moderating Tamil language debate talk shows, known as 'patti mandrams', which have been airing on Sun TV for over two decades. He is credited for discussing social themes and has so far moderated over 12,000 debates programs across the globe. He worked with Tamil literature for almost 60 years and is considered as one of the greatest Tamil scholars.
