During those years she worked with many children and families, some of whom lived in incredibly difficult situations. The Lamp-post Shakers is her first novella and is inspired by those individuals with whom she worked with, who faced continual challenges in their lives but strived to live life to the full and aim for that 'Happy Ending.'
