I was born in 1948 in St Joseph, Mo. We moved to Denver, Co. in 1951 and have lived here in Colorado most of my life. We grew up skiing, hiking in the mountains, playing sports and generally doing everything out doors. I took my first real art classes in high school. I attended Phillips University in Enid, Ok. in1967. During that time I tore up a knee playing sand lot football. It kept out of the military and, because my outside activities were curtailed for a while, I got back into art. I graduated from there in 1971 with a BFA degree.
