Ophelia was born in Belgium to a family of artists and designers. She is an illustrator, painter, and the Lead Art Instructor at the Albuquerque Museum. Ophelia currently lives in New Mexico and draws inspiration from travel, tending to her garden, and the natural world.

Ophelia is the illustrator of the acclaimed children's book, Evan and the Skygoats, published in 2019 by Leaf Storm Press. Ophelia approaches each illustration as an art piece, with an expressive quality of line and complementary colors. She uses India Ink, watercolor, and acrylic paint and has developed a technique of adding dimension and shadows to her illustrations with layered paper cutouts.
