Anna Gordon wis born in 1747 in Auld Aiberdeen whaur her faither Thomas Gordon wis professor o humanity an Greek at King’s College.

In 1788 Gordon mairrit the Rev. Dr. Andrew Brown, meenister o Falkland, syne becomin kent as Mrs Brown o Falkland. She returned tae Aiberdeen in later life whaur she deed in 1810 an wis yirdit at St. Machar’s Cathedral near tae King’s College in Auld Aiberdeen.
