Simona Soldano è nata e vive a Roma. Dopo la laurea in Scienze politiche all’università La Sapienza, ha lavorato come libraia e redattrice di mostre ed eventi culturali. Nel 2008 ha pubblicato il racconto Sherlock Horse e il furto della sacra soma, entrato l’anno seguente nella Selezione del Premio Bancarellino. Da sempre ama leggere, dipingere e passeggiare per la sua città. Ha studiato mandarino per cinque anni, ma non è mai riuscita ad andare in Cina. In compenso, ha scelto un nome cinese per la sua gatta.
