The question “How long should my book be?” is question gets posed frequently in my local writers’ group or from clients, however, the question comes in many variations: How many pages are in a memoir? How many words should be in memoir? What’s a good length for writing my story?

These questions are usually from first-time writers, many of them writing their story. Some are writing a novel, while ot
