I am a United States Air Force Veteran, graduate student of US History, Mermaid, Mrs. Georgia United States 2020, and now I guess I can add author to my resume! I am a vivacious reader and lover of all things books. I truly believe that readers are leaders and that books are a gateway drug to alternate realities. I have a few other books swirling around in my head that I hope to one day make a reality. We shall see!

The title was hilarious so I had to read the book as a self proclaimed cat lady. Lol. It was cute and does have some sweet moments about compassion and empathy. It’s problematic in that they were fed milk and in one case chocolate. Sometimes the writ ...more

Short and sweet and with beautiful prose. But it didn’t blow me away. A nice short read to pass the time. If the prose is like this in his novel I might try it cause I do enjoy good writing even if the story is just a story.

Pretty good book with lots of good information. A smidge outdated in some of the section but that is to be expected. a Good introduction to the topic and easy to read.

Cute concept. I absolutely hated the moms of Racheal and Sadie in the book. But Irene was a gem. Has a HEA. Easy read. Might recommend to certain people

Honestly I would have loved had this been a full length novel instead of a short story because I liked the premise. To quote the book that was quoting a famous quote, “pain is inevitable but suffering is optional” and I’m glad she decided to take the ...more

Ivan Turgenev
“What strikes me most forcibly in the ants and beetles and other worthy insects is their astounding seriousness. They run to and fro with such a solemn air, as though their life were something of such importance! A man the lord of creation the highest being, stares at them, if you please, and they pay no attention to him. Why, a gnat will even settle on the lord of creation's nose, and make use of him for food. It's most offensive. And, on the other hand, how is their life inferior to ours? And why shouldn't they take themselves seriously, if we are to be allowed to take ourselves seriously?”
Ivan Turgenev, On the Eve
