I am a United States Air Force Veteran, graduate student of US History, Mermaid, Mrs. Georgia United States 2020, and now I guess I can add author to my resume! I am a vivacious reader and lover of all things books. I truly believe that readers are leaders and that books are a gateway drug to alternate realities. I have a few other books swirling around in my head that I hope to one day make a reality. We shall see!

In this world of humans and the many species of nonhumans the real fantasy is the mutual climax after a quick thrust thrust thrust. Honestly loved the first half of the book as she world built but once it got “spicy” it was kinda meh. For a princess ...more

Beth is adorable and many of the stories that made up this year in her life were cute. No lie I was worried about reading a book from the perspective of a black child written by a white woman but I am happy to say it felt pretty authentic from my own ...more

For a decluttering book it kind of sucks but maybe because it’s too gentle in its approach. Maybe as an intro book to an older person this could be good or just an intro to anyone thinking about decluttering. This could give a a good reason why but I ...more

A lot of really great information in this book but the author seems to lack the ability to write a compound sentence. The cadence and flow of this book was so choppy and frustrating at times that I didn't want to read. Seriously the history covered a ...more

Ivan Turgenev
“What strikes me most forcibly in the ants and beetles and other worthy insects is their astounding seriousness. They run to and fro with such a solemn air, as though their life were something of such importance! A man the lord of creation the highest being, stares at them, if you please, and they pay no attention to him. Why, a gnat will even settle on the lord of creation's nose, and make use of him for food. It's most offensive. And, on the other hand, how is their life inferior to ours? And why shouldn't they take themselves seriously, if we are to be allowed to take ourselves seriously?”
Ivan Turgenev, On the Eve
