Anatoly Mikhailovich Mednikov was a Russian Soviet writer.

He was a participant in the Great Patriotic War. From July 1941 - a Red Army soldier of the NKVD fighter battalion No. 22, then a sergeant of the 1899th and 1101st regiments of the 326th Yaroslavl Infantry Division . In 1943, after two wounds, he was dismissed for disability. Until the end of the war he worked as a war correspondent for the latest news of the All-Union Radio.

In 1944, Anatoly Mikhailovich graduated from the Literary Institute. M. Gorky.

He was a member of the Communist Party since 1970.

He lived and worked in Moscow.

The urn with the ashes was buried at the Donskoy cemetery in Moscow.
