She lives in the upstate of South Carolina with her three cats, one cat shy of her "crazy cat lady" status and her toddler puppy, who can't seem to find enough things to chew on.

Karena has worked with children in a daycare setting and a Christian based children's home, where she managed the Equine Behavioral Therapy Program.

She loves anything to do with nature, animals, hiking, and being near the water.
Karena has lived in an extinct volcano, held a hummingbird and seen a humpback whale. She always enjoys finding adventures around every corner.
