“Avoid placing large objects between the speakers. One of the worst things you can do is place equipment, fireplaces, furniture, or any large obstructing object between the left and right speakers. If circumstances dictate you haven’t a choice, make sure what objects are between the speakers are as low to the floor as possible. Ideally you want the electronics off to the side, where they’re convenient to access.”
