L M Zorn has been interested in history forever, especially the Really Old Stuff. They grew up reading the myths and stories of Ancient Greece and Rome, and never grew out of it. They are competent at both archery and horse riding, though not at the same time, and they are very impressed by people who are. At university (in the previous millennium) they studied, among other things, history and classical studies, and have since then been fortunate enough be able to travel to many of the places in this series. They live on a rural property on Aotearoa New Zealand’s South Island, with a pack of dogs, too many chickens, freeloading horses who know when they’re on to a good thing, and a partner who holds it all together.
