Hi Roy, thanks for adding me. I have already had some enjoyment from your shelves and writings. I hope we can be of mutual benefit here on GR! :)
MERRY CHRISTMAS & Happy New Year to you and your family!

Nice to virtually meet you, too! Valencia's a beautiful city.
Roy, thanks so much for accepting the request. Hope Madrid is treating you well (I'm actually from Valencia). I greatly enjoyed looking through your shelves and reading some of your reviews. I look forward to sharing our opinions on books!
Yeah, I had that experience once when I tried traveling at Christmas. And it was too cold for walking around outside. Cafes are also good, though! As a matter of fact, I did know that about the name sherry! Most English names for fortified wines come from the places of importation. They were popular because they hold up better under poor shipping conditions than do regular wines.
Miriam wrote: "Merry Christmas! I hope you are seeing some lovely sights."And the same to you! Unfortunately, almost everything is closed right now, so we're just puttering around in cafés, haha. But the sherry is excellent! I didn't know this, but "sherry" is named after Jerez, a place in Spain where we are now.

Thanks! And I hope I taste good :-).

Thanks for accepting the friend invite Lotz! Looking forward to your long, pretentious reviews each and every time! ;)
Thanks for accepting the invite, Lotz. I went into 1984 with a little bias against it and having read too much post modern fiction. Your review was a refreshing perspective and made me take a good look at myself. A wonderful way to be acquainted. I look forward to our future interactions :)

Hi there Lotz! Thank you for the friend invite and the kind words about my review. I liked your heartfelt review of 'A Passage to India' as well. Sorry about the late reply to your message but I look forward to our future bookish interactions.

And I think the world-saving is going pretty well!

And yes, there are too many good books to pick a favorite--not that this is a bad thing!
Thanks for sending a friend invite my way Rlotz and for trying to respond to that unanswerable (and probably also nonsensical question that I can't even respond myself). I read TBK last year and was totally blown away by it. Can't wait to read your reviews and chat books with you.

Hello! My best piece of advice is just to establish a regular routine, and stick to it. But there are many who read a whole lot more than I do!
