I am an independent author in my thirties. I generally write at the same time as cycling... on my exercise bike. I don't recommend writing and cycling on the road though! I write as a hobby in my spare time, though I wrote my latest book (The Consequences of Trolling God) between jobs. It is a magic fantasy comedy with elements of litRPG. The main character is an internet troll who has to face life as a real flesh and blood troll in a world where monsters are hunted.

I am a supporter of the Open Rights Group in the UK, which campaigns against internet censorship and mass surveillance among other digital rights issues. As I am committed to digital rights I believe it would be hypocritical to use DRM so I have no intention of doing so.

My next book, The Consequences of Trolling God, is now available for pre-order on Amazon with a release date of 2nd March 2017. It is a standalone fantasy novel about an internet troll who makes the mistake of trolling god. Naturally god wasn't amused and decided to impose his own idea of an ironic justice on the poor troll. Quotes are added by the Goodreads community and are not verified by Goodreads. (Learn more)

“We're not mindless golems, designed to think exactly the same thing. To try to suppress those thoughts is no better than slavery, and being free to say what you want, write what you want or draw what you want, as long as it doesn't offend anyone... That's no freedom at all.”
T.J. Dixon, Peter of Dwarven Stone

“I know the difference between reality and fantasy. Those with sick fantasies who know and respect this difference are much less dangerous than those with no fantasies at all, but who can’t tell the difference between fantasy and reality.”
T.J. Dixon, Peter and the Heart of Alchemy

“You’re not fat unless you’re bigger outwards than upwards. Anyway, better fat than tall.”
T.J. Dixon, Peter of Dwarven Stone

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

“What is [insert name here]? Does it taste good?”
Ken Akamatsu, Love Hina 13

“Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live.”
Oscar Wilde

“I know the difference between reality and fantasy. Those with sick fantasies who know and respect this difference are much less dangerous than those with no fantasies at all, but who can’t tell the difference between fantasy and reality.”
