Jesús R. Rivas nació en Motril (Granada) en 1978. Ya desde la infancia sentía una fuerte atracción por la lectura, en especial por la Fantasía y la Ciencia Ficción. Esta afición despertaría en él la inquietud por crear mundos fantásticos, llevándole a diseñar niveles de juegos de mesa, mapas y pequeñas historias. Afición que compaginó durante años con los videojuegos, una de sus mayores fuentes de inspiración.

En 2001 consigue ingresar como bombero profesional en el parque de Motril. Es cuando se da cuenta de que quiere cumplir su sueño: escribir. En 2019 nace Las aventuras de Kiray la Valiente, un cuento inspirado en su hija Azahara, y obra finalista en los Latino Awards Books.
