Louis A. Haneef is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Psychology with a Specialization in Mental Health Counseling from Lynn University. He is also certified as a Master Addiction Professional. He was forced to retire from practicing psychotherapy in 2016 due to the advancement of Parkinson’s disease. Before his retirement, he worked as a psychotherapist with adolescents in Juvenile Justice System with a focus on addiction, aggression, rehabilitation, and mental health. He has also worked with adult males with substance abuse disorders. The United States needs to practice "humility" when it comes to promoting "equity and justice" on the international stage, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield said after mentioning the administration's intention to rejoin the U.N.
