B. Zelkovich is 44% done with Tom Lake: After griping about how bored I was of this book yesterday, today I finally started to feel "hooked". The trick? Stop caring about the story and focus on the craft. Patchett is REALLY good at getting to the quick of her characters, and she does marvelous things at the line level.
