A writer in professional and volunteer capacities for years, Nancy Hill of late became an author, completing her first book in 2021. Her father and earliest mentor, a writer and journalist, published his initial work, an autobiography, at age seventy-nine. Nancy harbored her unwritten story for decades until she realized it was a memoir, not a novel—and the rest was history. In completing Don’t Fault the Moon, Nancy bested her father’s accomplishment by six years. An excerpt from Don’t Fault the Moon was awarded third place in the Tallahassee Writers Association’s 2020 Seven Hills Review Contest for Creative Non-fiction.
