Too insta-love for me and I couldn’t get into the male MC, he seemed a bit dull. The dementia plot was also very sad.

Loooooove a morally gray MC who has no regrets for what she’s had to do. Love all the character dynamics, very unique for this genre.

I struggled to get into this book at first as it felt almost too fantastical for me (and I do love fantasy), but I pushed through and I’m glad I did. Lovely writing and themes and nice changes to actual mythology.
