Born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, in 1950, Stephen Cheek finished high school in 1968, later attended Mississippi State University and graduated in 1972 with a degree in landscape architecture. For sixteen years he was in private practice designing commercial and residential projects throughout Mississippi. In 1988, he joined his father’s highway construction firm.

He lives with his wife Sherrie in their turn of the century colonial style home in the downtown historic district of Kosciusko. His handiwork is seen in the home’s beautiful New Orleans style courtyard surrounded by an eight-foot brick wall. They have three grown children, Corey, Megan and Logan, all of whom live in Mississippi.

Cheek began writing when he was in a rock band during h

Authors/Writers: Where are the best sites to join?

As an author, I, too, want others to read my work. To do that, relationships must to be created in order for my books to be found and sold. Joining websites, forums and blogs are a great way to do that. (Easier said than done in many cases)

Of course, Goodreads is a wonderful network, if not the best that I've found. Are there others that you can tell about?

Stephen Cheek Eva,

Thank you for the kind words. Your comments have been so similar to all that have read it. I think by YOU reading it first on Goodread will really help me promote the book. I will have to depend on friends such as you to help me get it out there. Sequel, sequel, sequel, many have ask for. (maybe down the road)

I'm so glad I met you and appreciate your professional review and opinion. Ask me your questions when you have time.

Stay in touch...I will!
Stephen

Eva-Marie Nevarez WOW! I haven't had time to message you yet about Cane and Able but I am IMPRESSED! I really, really, honestly LOVED it! I would read a prequel/sequel in a second! I would even read a non-related book from you in a second!
I would have been so upset if I had got this somewhere and then let it sit around for months or years. I consider myself very lucky that I met you on here because I usually will read GR authors books way faster than non GR authors.
I do have some questions, that I'll ask you later today (after I take my dog to the vet) and I can't wait.
I've already been telling my friends. This was absolutely wonderful!

Rosemary Happy reading and writing in Mississippi!
