Some forty-five additional chapters in the Prophets and Writings (the two other major divisions of the Hebrew Bible) focus upon the same subject—not to mention the whole book of Psalms, comprising the music of the sanctuary. The Old Testament is, in fact, saturated with hundreds, perhaps thousands, of sanctuary references and allusions, forming a dominant motif throughout its thirty-nine books.11”
